Dr. Bazoberry received his medical degree from
the Universidad “Mayor de San Andres,” La Paz, Bolivia,
in 1986. He has volunteered with Save the Children as well as the
Red Cross, where he served as Deputy Director for La Paz. His involvement
has been in public health programs, assisting people during public
unrest and armed conflicts, and organizing rescue operations for
climate-related catastrophes in the Andes and the Amazon. After
moving to the U.S. in 1986, he became Board Certified in Internal
Medicine, training at Newton-Wellesley Hospital (Associated with
TUFTS University), Newton, MA. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology
having trained at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (associated
with Harvard University) and Board Certified in Pain Management
from the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is currently Senior
Staff Anesthesiologist at Milton Hospital, Milton, MA, and Vice-president
and founder of the Boston Pain Care Center in Waltham, MA. Dr.
Bazoberry's interest in the foundation is based in creating specific
pathways to help disadvantaged children with complex medical problems
realize their full potential. A significant number of children
are currently disabled or even dying from reversible medical conditions
in poor countries around the world.
