Ms. Bono has
been honored by the Massachusetts State Senate for her
work with inner city youth. She has achieved similar recognition
from the Ministry
of Education in Poland where she has done volunteer work teaching
English and multi-culturalism while acting as a Cultural Ambassador. She
served on the Board of Directors at Ballet Theatre of Boston where
she designed and implemented a summer program for children which
is ongoing. In addition, Ms. Bono has formed a Giving Circle
for the CARE Organization to raise funds for empowering
women in third world countries. She continues her work of
advocating for children as an administrator in the Newton Public
Schools where she is also the representative from her school
to the Community Based Justice Team, a model program which
works to bridge the gap between schools and the community.
